Privacy notice
Waking Soul, Inc., doing business as TDF People, is responsible for the personal information we collect to operate this website and the TDF Pattern Inventory. This notice covers visitors, participants, purchasers, facilitators, and historical assessment records. Contact info@tdftest.com about privacy or to exercise your rights.
Information we use and why
- Assessment and participant information: name, email, Test Code, Organization and Event information, answers, progress, calculated pattern, assessment and scoring versions, completion dates, and report activity. We use these to administer and score the assessment, save progress, provide reports and history, and support you.
- Participant Portal and learning information: verified identity, assessment history, self-selected patterns, sharing choices, and learning progress or reflections you submit where the relevant feature stores them. These support your requested participant services.
- Purchases and facilitation: purchaser contact information, organization/event details, order and payment references, Test Code allocation and usage, receipts, and workshop settings. These support purchases, delivery, accounting, and assistance. Stripe processes payment details; TDF does not receive or store your full payment-card number.
- Service communications: support correspondence, verification requests, transactional email content, delivery status, and related records. Result emails may include your pattern; receipts and Test Code instructions may include attachments. We do not add assessment email addresses to marketing lists without separate permission.
- Security and operational information: authentication and access records, technical logs, request information such as IP addresses where needed for security, and performance measurements. Operational monitoring uses numeric measurements and rotating pseudonymous session identifiers rather than storing your answers or results in monitoring snapshots.
- Optional public-page analytics: only after you accept, Google Analytics receives information about visits to approved public information pages, including a cookie identifier and browser/device and connection information. We do not load this analytics feature on the assessment, purchases, reports, learning, administration, or participant/purchaser portals. See Cookies & browser storage.
Most information comes from you or your use of the service. Organization/event and Test Code details may come from your purchaser or facilitator. Payment and email providers return transaction or delivery information. Historical records come from earlier TDF services and may contain older names, email addresses, dates, answers, and results.
Identity, eligible Test Code access, and assessment answers are needed to deliver a scored assessment and recover it securely. Optional analytics and marketing permission are not conditions of taking the assessment.
Legal bases where applicable
Where European or UK data protection law applies, we distinguish the purpose and basis of each use: performing a contract with you or taking steps you request before a contract; legitimate interests in operating, securing, supporting, and maintaining TDF services, where those interests are not overridden by your rights; compliance with legal obligations such as applicable accounting requirements; and consent for optional analytics and any separately chosen marketing. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where we rely on it.
Organization-sponsored assessments require consideration of the organization’s role and basis for using participant information. Acknowledging the workshop disclosure is not a waiver of your rights or blanket consent to unrelated uses. Contact us or your organizer if you have questions about why participation or sharing is requested.
Who can see your assessment
Authorized TDF personnel can access information needed to administer and support the service. Depending on your Test Code and the disclosure presented before you start, the purchaser can see your name, email, assessment activity, progress, and completion status.
- Standard delivery: you choose whether to share your pattern result and report with the purchaser.
- Workshop and Workshop Reveal: the facilitator receives your pattern result and report as described before you start. Individual item-by-item answers are not provided to purchasers or facilitators.
- Workshop Reveal: ordinary participant access to the result, report, Participant Portal, and learning is held until facilitator release. This product setting does not limit your statutory privacy rights; privacy requests are handled separately.
- Self-selected patterns: where available, these have separate sharing choices in the Participant Portal. Changing those choices does not automatically change the sharing arrangement for an earlier assessment.
Purchasers and facilitators may download eligible reports or exports. Revoking future access cannot recall copies already downloaded. Their subsequent handling of those copies may be governed by their own privacy responsibilities and notices. Contact us for help directing a request to the relevant organization.
We do not sell your personal information. This website’s optional analytics integration does not enable advertising personalization or Google Signals. We may disclose information when legally required, to protect the service or legal rights, or to service providers for the purposes described here.
Service providers and international processing
The production application and database are hosted by Railway in the United States; backup storage also uses a US region. Other providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Laws in those locations may differ from those where you live.
- Railway: application hosting, database, infrastructure records, and backup storage. Railway privacy information.
- Stripe: payment, billing, fraud prevention, and transaction processing. Stripe also has independent responsibilities for certain payment data. Stripe privacy information.
- Resend: delivery of verification, receipt, result, and other service emails. Resend privacy information.
- Google: optional public-page analytics and sign-in for authorized administrators. Google privacy information.
International processing is subject to applicable transfer requirements. Relevant mechanisms may include an applicable adequacy decision or contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the locations and safeguards applicable to your information. Browser cookie permission does not replace these requirements.
How long information is kept
Assessment records, including historical records, do not currently have a fixed automatic expiration date. We determine the need to retain them by the continuing purpose of participant history and report access, unresolved support needs, applicable legal or contractual obligations, and the need to establish or defend legal claims. An abandoned assessment does not, by itself, justify permanent retention.
Purchase and accounting information can need a different retention period from assessment answers. We assess deletion requests against the purpose and legal need for each category, rather than retaining all information simply because some transaction records must be kept.
Application monitoring snapshots are configured for cleanup after 48 hours, with cleanup normally checked hourly while monitoring is active. Hosting logs, email-provider records, and backups have separate provider and account settings. Deletion from the active database is not instantaneous deletion from all backup copies. Those copies must remain protected and be addressed through the applicable backup lifecycle; approved deletions must be addressed again during a restore.
Our privacy-choice cookie lasts up to 180 days. Local assessment drafts can remain in your browser until cleared through the assessment controls or your browser settings; clearing browser storage does not delete your server-held assessment. More detail is in our storage notice.
Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on the law that applies, you may request access to and a copy of your information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, or object to particular processing. You may withdraw consent for future consent-based processing. Withdrawal does not change the lawfulness of earlier processing. Applicable exceptions and limits will be explained when relevant.
Email info@tdftest.com with the request and the email you used for the service. You do not need to buy anything or create a new account. We may need proportionate identity or authorization checks before releasing, changing, or deleting information. Please do not send passwords, verification codes, or payment-card details. We respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any permitted extension or refusal.
You can change optional analytics choices through Privacy settings at the bottom of the site. We treat a detected Global Privacy Control signal as a direction to keep optional analytics off. To withdraw assessment-result sharing where the applicable arrangement permits it, contact us; for self-selected patterns, use the Participant Portal’s sharing controls or contact us.
You may complain to the data protection authority where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred, where applicable. EEA residents can find their authority through the European Data Protection Board; UK residents can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office. Where a right of appeal applies, reply to our decision asking for a privacy appeal. We do not penalize you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Minimum age and automated assessment results
The TDF assessment is available only to participants aged 18 or older. Purchasers and facilitators must not arrange assessments for anyone under 18. Before starting, participants must confirm that they meet the minimum age. This is a self-declaration; we do not request a date of birth or identity document for this check.
If you believe someone under 18 has submitted personal information, contact info@tdftest.com so we can review and address it, including deletion where appropriate. This age policy does not remove anyone’s rights concerning information already held.
The website automatically scores your answers to generate a TDF pattern and report. It does not make hiring, dismissal, credit, insurance, or medical decisions about you. A pattern describes perception, not intelligence, ability, or worth. Contact us to ask about your result or its handling.
Changes to this notice
We update this notice when our practices change and show the latest date above. Where a change requires new consent or additional notice, an update to this page alone does not replace that requirement.
